About
Jonathan Mills is a lifelong resident of Central Florida. He attended college at the University of Central Florida where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in legal studies. He then attended law school at Florida International University College of Law where he graduated with honors. During law school, he participated in several clinical externships through the Public Defender’s Office, State Attorney’s Office, and Department of Children & Families.
Jonathan began his career as a state prosecutor in the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida. As a prosecutor, he tried numerous jury trials which have included Driving Under the Influence, Domestic Violence, Sex Crimes, Drug Crimes, Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, Carjacking, and Child Abuse cases, to name a few. He was a member of the domestic violence unit as well as the sex crimes & child abuse unit of the State Attorney’s Office.
After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, he worked for a prominent statewide civil law firm and defended some of America’s largest insurance companies from claims involving automobile negligence, products liability, slip and falls, negligent security, dog bites, and other claims. In addition, Jonathan has experience in matters involving first part property insurance claims.
